An award-winning renovation completed in 2012, Chalet L'Abreuvoir is a stunning 320m2 property in Meribel Le Raffort, constructed from reclaimed timber which has been carefully repurposed to create a spectacular alpine chalet with bags of rustic mountain charm whilst having the latest modern comforts.
Every attention has been paid to the design of this chalet, from the handmade Indian fabrics, bespoke ceramic washbasins and delicate lanterns created by a Japanese paper artist. It is no wonder that the chalet was awarded ‘Best Renovation' at the distinguished Alp Home Exhibition.
Chalet L'Abreuvoir is situated in the pretty mountain village of Le Raffort, close to Meribel. With stylish chalets dotted among traditional barns, our guests love the combination of staying in a rustic alpine hamlet which happens to access one of the most famous ski areas on earth.
Le Raffort is connected to the lifts of Meribel via the ‘Olympe' gondola which is just 100m away. Guests can ski back to within a few metres of the chalet via the ‘Raffort' piste. Alternatively it is possible to drive to Meribel centre which is 5 minutes by road - do feel free to take advantage of our driver service which includes 2 return trips to Meribel each day.
The bright and open living space includes a well-equipped kitchen, a fabulous round dining table, reclaimed from a farmhouse, and a boutique-style sitting room with comfortable sofas and designer lighting. The room opens onto a huge terrace with dining furniture and space to contemplate the magnificent mountain views.
The large 15 m2 kitchen combines beautifully smooth wood and sleek, modern applicances for a rustic chic feel. Take a seat at the high counter which divides the kitchen and dining room and enjoy an aperitif whilst chatting to your cook! The kitchen contains everything you need for catering for a large group of friends and family, with modern equipment and plenty of attractive crockery to make your meals extra special.
NB: If you prefer not to cook for yourselves, then ask us about organising a chef to cater during your stay.
The stunning round table which has been restored from a mountain farmhouse is a perfect space for sharing a meal after a day on the slopes of Meribel. Equipped with an ingenious rotating serving tray fitted with embedded power sockets, it's also ideal for a fondue or a raclette - a special Savoyard treat.
The gorgeous 25m2 living room has gigantic sofas centred around a huge feature fireplace. Delicate lanterns created by a Japanese paper artist adorn the beautiful reclaimed Indian woodwork panels and create a delicately-lit ambience, making a magical space to unwind with your family and friends.
The sitting area opens out onto the large south-facing terrace and overlooks the famous peaks of Méribel. The terrace is equipped with dining furniture and loungers, with exterior lighting for warm evenings admiring the view...
Let the conversation flow, laughter ring out, and memories be made!
Comfortably snuggled on a couch, enjoy a film or your own ski movies on Chalet Abreuvoir's extra large screen with specialist sound system.
NB: This room can also accommodate 2 people on the pull-out beds, should you require.
Enjoy the beneficial effects of water and heat to recharge your batteries and relax your body after a hard day on the slopes - it's all an important part of your much-deserved holiday. The wellness area has a jacuzzi, a sensory shower, a sauna and a relaxation zone with huge beanbag cushions and twinkling candles...
