Ski in / ski out to within 80 metres of the chalet and only a short walk from the centre of Morzine. With 7 ensuite bedrooms including a family suite (or 9 bedrooms including the self-contained ground floor apartment), this is the largest catered high-quality chalet in our Morzine accommodation portfolio. Very spacious, benefitting from panoramic mountain views and superb facilities including a magnificent outdoor hot tub and heated terrace.

Situated in a prime location below the slopes on the Pleney side of Morzine, Chalet des Montagnes is a large, luxurious catered chalet with stunning outdoor hot tub, heated covered terrace and magnificent alpine views. It is possible to ski-in / ski-out to within only 80 metres of the front door (snow conditions permitting). The main Morzine Pleney lift and village centre are an easy 10 minute walk. For your convenience, we also provide a pre and post-skiing minibus shuttle service, should you not wish to walk or ski from/to the chalet.

Privately-owned by the Marshall family, the alpine-style Chalet des Montagnes is our flagship property from which we have been built and developed over many years. Traditionally chocolate-box in appearance inside and out, this is one of the largest and well-maintained private chalets in Morzine – perfect for groups and room by room bookings.

One of the chalet’s most attractive features is the open-plan living area, complete with feature fireplace with log burner, well-stocked honesty bar and tea/coffee station. This spacious room is beautifully furnished yet warm and cosy. Leather sofas offer ample seating, with plenty of space to relax and unwind. There is a flat screen TV, movie selection, wireless music system, books and traditional board games.

The lounge area opens on to an impressive covered and heated terrace, with a balcony sweeping around the whole front of the chalet. These afford exceptional picture postcard views across Morzine and up towards the distant winter lights of our sister resort Avoriaz.

A separate, impressive ‘Shackleton’ themed dining room is roomy enough for adult parties of up to 20. Here the perfect mountain holiday dinner-party ambiance is created, against the backdrop of lovely uninterrupted views of the Morzine valley across to Avoriaz.

Leading down to the chalet garden and grounds, French doors in the dining room open onto a further terrace with large outdoor luxury hot tub (shared with Apartment Montagnes). Admire the snow-clad alpine panorama whilst you unwind in the jacuzzi with a cold drink at the end of a hard day on the slopes.

Chalets of this size and quality are extremely rare in Morzine. Because of this, Chalet des Montagnes is always popular with larger groups looking to book a catered chalet in Morzine for exclusive occupancy. However the chalet can sometimes be booked by couples, families or smaller groups of friends on a room by room basis. These ‘shared chalet’ dates are always a great success. There are 7 bedrooms in the main chalet (including a family suite) offering a maximum capacity of 17 guests. A further 2 bedrooms (plus second lounge area) are available in the downstairs apartment if required, which allows for a group size of up to 21 guests at the very maximum. The self-contained apartment can also be booked separately on a self-catered basis.

All bedrooms have their own private bathroom and are of a similar size. They are tastefully furnished, warm and cosy, with ample hot water. Luxury linen, towels bathrobes and toiletries are provided.

There is a ski store with heated boot warmers to guarantee a warm start before your day on the slopes. The grounds offer parking for several cars and private landscaped gardens.

We recognise that an enjoyable and memorable dining experience is an integral part of your holiday. That is why, in our catered chalets, we employ a team of professional chefs and trained chalet hosts to deliver delectable cuisine and excellent wine. Our chefs use local suppliers to freshly prepare delicious four course evening meals accompanied by quaffable house wines & beers, breakfast with hot option, afternoon tea with homemade cakes plus welcome and farewell drinks and canapés. Additionally, our summer chalet holidays feature al fresco dining including a splendid barbecue banquet.

Our catered chalet chefs have graduated from well-renowned cookery schools or have trained and worked in professional kitchens. We stand out from the competition because we allow our talented chefs the freedom to express themselves in creating their own menus – to fully display their skills and personality.

Please note that our chalet staff have 1 day off per week (usually Wednesday unless with prior agreement). On this day, breakfast is included (no hot option) but not afternoon cakes, children’s supper or evening meal.
