A rare and secret place. In the 1950s, a passionate mountain lover discovered the village of Val d'Isère, which at the time had only a few sparse buildings... Fifty years later, the chalet her son built was born, meant to be shared by a large family spanning three generations.

For the first time this winter 2024-2025, Chalet L'Orient will be accessible beyond the private circle of the family who built it and had jealously preserved it as a family retreat all these years.

Situated in a unique location within the village of Val d’Isère, providing easy walking access to both the village and the slopes. The chalet is built on a 2000 sqm plot and offers a majestic 180° panoramic view, stretching as far as the eye can see. Absolute tranquility is guaranteed.

Chalet L’Orient’s unique location allows you to reach the slopes on foot in just a few minutes. However, if the distance or weather isn’t to your liking, our team will be happy to drop you off and pick you up from the slopes…

No stress, we take care of everything. Your lift passes will be ready upon your arrival. Your equipment will be delivered and adjusted directly in the chalet’s ski room, and the instructors will come each morning to help you plan the best runs based on your preferences and the day’s conditions. After skiing, how about a dip in the indoor pool at 30 degrees? A visit to the hammam?

The grand living room occupies the entire top floor of the Chalet. With a bit of patience, you can spot ibex and chamois on the eastern side, while to the south, you’ll see the village, its bell tower, and the famous Bellevarde slope…

The grand living room is a space for relaxation and sharing, perfect for après-ski and long winter evenings. Settle into the large sofas in front of the central fireplace for a glass of champagne or with a good book. Lean against the bar to enjoy a cocktail. In a large armchair facing east, admire the mountains. Or in the game corner, challenge someone to a game of Backgammon.
