Gruezi wohl and welcome to Chalet Bergheim - we are delighted to share our mountain home with you! We always dreamed of finding a secluded, tranquil place in the mountains with easy access to enjoy year-round activities. Chalet Bergheim does exactly that. Built in 1933 in traditional swiss walliser style, our chalet is the perfect place to escape to the mountains.

Nestled in the tree line at 1750m and overlooking the rooftops of Zermatt, the 4* superior chalet is directly on the sunegga ski-piste. This gives access to the 450 kilometres of pistes offered by the best-known resort in Switzerland. Ski hard all day, grab a glass of red wine and sit in front of the open fire or enjoy the evening sunshine taking in the majestic views of the Matterhorn. Perfection.

Chalet Bergheim is a 4* superior luxury chalet which was built in 1933 in traditional walliser style wooden construction. Renovated in 2013, the chalet is furnished with bespoke, handmade furniture and natural materials but with all the features you would expect in a modern mountain chalet including free wi-fi throughout.
One of the only free-standing chalets in Zermatt, the chalet sleeps 6 adults comfortably in 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. With additional beds the maximum occupancy is 9 (max 7 adults, 1 child and 1 baby).

Rates are based on 6 persons. Additional persons are charged CHF15 per person per night (excluding infants). Discounts are available for stays longer than 7 days.

Bergheim has been welcoming Chalet Owners guests since 2014.

We know that it's the little details that make a holiday. That's why we can provide the additional catering services or fresh cooked food delivery on request.

The chalet is in a stunning location above the village of Zermatt with dramatic views of the majestic Matterhorn. Far enough away to feel remote but close enough to access the many ammenities Zermatt has to offer. Chalet is surrounded by nature with very few neighbours and located in 20-25 min walk from the centre of Zermatt with direct access to the ski-piste from Sunegga. Ski in/Ski out (snow permitting). Nearby restaurants within a short walk from the house.

IMPORTANT IN WINTER: In winter it's only possible to access the property to within 400m by taxi, and after that you must go by foot on a prepared winter trail (direct access by taxi possible in summer). From the town to the chalet it is a 20-25min walk uphill. There is however an elevator during lift opening hours which reduces the amount of uphill and walking time! From the ski piste to the chalet there are steps. Prior to guest arrival we clear the steps of snow and lay grit. However, should there be snowfall then snow clearance may be required during your stay. Should there be insufficient snow on the piste next to the house, it is 400m walk to a snow-sure piste. In winter free luggage transfer is available Saturdays 10am until 4pm unless very poor weather conditions. You therefore must plan to be in Zermatt before 3:15pm at the latest on arrival day!
