Built in 2009, this charming chalet is laid out over four floors with separate outside access between the lower ground floor, the ground level apartment and main chalet which is a large duplex with its own internal staircase.

Although traditional in decoration with a wealth of hanging pictures, predominantly of mountain vistas or representing alpine themes, the atmosphere is modern and the furnishings are sumptuous.

An excellent family or group base, providing a high level of comfort and convenience.

Ideally located in Winkelmatten, one of Zermatt’s most sought after areas, this stand alone building looks up at the Matterhorn and is only 5 minutes’ walk from the Matterhorn Express gondola. For much of the season, it is usually possible to ski back to within 200 metres of the front door via the Moos yellow run, whilst the bus stop is just outside the chalet.

Chalet Ulysse is wonderfully flexible with the main chalet catering for up to 8 and the separate self-contained ground floor apartment catering for up to 4. It can therefore be booked by groups of up to 8 or 12 guests. In the upstairs main duplex beds are now all Austrian twins, which means two single mattresses on a fixed double bed base that cannot be split into two single beds, and there are double beds in the downstairs apartment.

The chalet is particularly suitable for families with children. For younger kids, the Winkelmatten play park is immediately opposite, whilst the second sitting room on the ground floor serves well as a TV room away from the main living room upstairs.

Ulysse has been welcoming Chalet Owners guests since 2014.

Fully catered service or can be booked on a self catering basis with no hotel-type services.

Catered rates outside peak season include daily housekeeping, breakfast, afternoon tea and fine dining on 4 evenings. Evening catering includes aperitifs, selected wines and spirits, mineral waters & soft drinks.

Peak weeks rates include in-chalet fine dining on 6 evenings and a private ski guide for 5 days. There is a possibility to upgrade from 4 to 6 evenings of fine dining - please ask for a quote.

Every day in the chalet begins with a hearty Swiss-style breakfast, setting you up for an adventurous day out, after which afternoon tea and cakes awaits your return. Before dinner, we lay on apéritifs and canapés and when you’re ready, our chef will invite you to take your places at table, signaling the start of a four course culinary event to excite the taste buds and indulge the appetite. A selection of free mineral waters and soft drinks is available along with our house wines. You can also choose to make a selection from our attractive wine list, which boasts more exotic vintages from the local area and further afield.
