Chalet Altesse is a sublime and peaceful retreat with undisturbed Matterhorn views.

The interior is chic, modern, sophisticated, and stylish, featuring contemporary artwork, fittings, and furnishings. Each apartment offers generous space, an open-plan living area, and a welcoming log burner. Altesse is designed to maximize the incredible views and create a sense of tranquility.

Our jewel – this cozy apartment is nested under the wooden beams and benefits from most amazing views onto the Matterhorn. It is also perfect for a smaller family or a couple wanting space but looking for the “true Chalet” experience.

The Penthouse suite includes three bedrooms, which can be configured as doubles or twins as desired, and two bathrooms. The master en-suite boasts a jacuzzi bath.

Our apartment is furnished in a modern alpine style. The premium equipped kitchens, the generous living room with fireplace and large dining table offer plenty of comfort and space for the whole family and your friends. The apartment has a large balcony.

The chalet features a wellness area with a sauna, a Turkish steam bath, a resting room, a shower, and a WC. This serene space is private, shared only with other Altesse guests, ensuring a tranquil and exclusive experience. The practical ski room with ski boot warmer on the ground floor is accessible by lift.

In the evening, with enough snow available, you can ride by ski or snowboard up to the front door of the Chalet Altesse which will be the ultimate final of a perfect winter day.

Our apartment can be equipped with baby beds, changing mat and children's high chair. Our apartment meets the criteria of the Swiss Tourism Association and are classified as family-friendly by Zermatt Tourismus.

Altesse has been welcoming Chalet Owners guests since 2017.

Our guests enjoy a generous welcome pack, including homemade jams (made at the owner's own restaurant), fresh flowers, and fruit. Every morning, each guest receives a complimentary fresh croissant or breakfast bread of choice.

We provide a number of services as requested, such as shopping, laundry, extra cleaning, and linen—all available at an extra cost. Beer, wine, water, and coffee can also be provided in-house at retailers' cost price.

Restaurant and ski lesson/guide bookings are gladly made on request.

Chalet Altesse is located in the quiet hamlet of Winkelmatten, perfectly situated for Ski - In Ski-Out access during winter season. Altesse is on the edge of the mountain forest, close to nature, so deer often visit! The chalet is approximately 1.5 km from the center of Zermatt village with regular
bus service close by. It is around an 8-10-minute walk to the ski-lifts and approximately 2-3 minutes to the ski bus.

We can offer you the luxury to reach your apartment at the Chalet Altesse at the end of your day via ski, snowboard or sledging. The last run coming down from Gornergrat via Furri/Moos will take you conveniently right in front of your apartment. In the morning, reach the Klein Matterhorn valley station via ski or via the electric bus in less than five minutes. In the evening, with enough snow available, you can ride by ski or snowboard up to the front door of the Chalet Altesse which will be the ultimate final of a perfect winter day.

Please take note that snow conditions in Zermatt (1600 meter above sea level) are a deciding factor in order to be able to ski in and ski out from your holiday home.

Return taxi from Zermatt train station to the Chalet Altesse on your arrival and departure day is provided.
